"If you're going through hell, keep going".

work is finally over, and i could not feel any more relieved. for those of you who don't know, i work(ed) at a daycare center, in the next city over, dublin. my first day was june 15 and ended today! although this job was by far the most time consuming and physically tiring job i've ever had, i still can't deny the fact i am going to miss the kids so much! when i was passing out their goodie bags today they kept on knocking me over with hugs and then a mob engulfed me, but nontheless i loved it! i work(ed) with the kindergartners and the first graders and i can't wait to see how they turn out a few years from now! i can say that i have definitely learned a lot this summer...tips like:

1. they notice everything, so watch out!
2. they love to be read to. and the more enthusiasm you put into your voice, the more laughs you will get :]]
3. they can get loud VERY quickly.
4. after awhile of being around kids, you start acting like one.
5. they are easy to bribe/make deals with bwahahaha!
6. teaching is definitely the profession that i am supposed to be in!

i can't say i am going to miss some of the teachers i worked with but the kids, ah, just breaks my heart :[ all in all i am grateful for this job. in this economy i was lucky to find a job, especially one that paid so high! it was a great learning experience and i achieved the goal i set out to achieve....get some monayssss for england! watch out brits... here i come! -cheers

how does your garden grow?

just finished the best book EVER. the forgotten garden by kate morton was by far the best non-harry potter book i have ever read. a bit about how i stumbled across this treasure...so i am always on the lookout for books about england and lately i have been interested in ww2 era and before. i was perusing through our library's catalogue online and searched for novels about england and this popped up! the cover looked rather decent, so i thought i would give it a go. when i picked it up from the hold shelf at the library i pouted seeing as it has 552 pages, not my cup of tea, but the cover was even better in person and the fairy illustrations on the inside of the cover were just too darn adorable! less than a week later and i am finished! i never cry at the end of book, but this was an exception. the best way to describe the category of this book would be: england (cornwall)/australia, mystery (but not gruesome at all!), gardens! it can't get any better! i highly recommend it, you don't know what you are missing until you've read it! i am so sad i am done reading it, but i am going to pass it onto my mum, i think she will enjoy it, cheers:]]
